Themiya Herath is a Diagnostic Radiographer from Colombo, Sri Lanka, and the author, editor, and web developer of www.radiohelp.org. While he was a university student in 2014, he noticed that there were very few accurate reference materials covering the practical aspects of CT and MRI. He therefore developed Radiohelp primarily for student and junior radiographers. Radiohelp is completely free of charge, available 24/7, and accessible from anywhere.
He holds a degree in Diagnostic Radiography and has performed a wide range of radiological procedures, particularly in cross-sectional imaging. He wrote this content based on his practical experience of working with patients and evaluating imaging results to optimize scanning protocols. He is an active member of the Society of Radiological Technologists Sri Lanka (SRTSL) and regularly publishes radiology-related articles in the annual “The Radiographer” magazine published by the SRTSL. Moreover, he has conducted research on the axillary radiation dose received by cardiologists during PTCA procedures.
